laundry

ingredients that extend the life of your clothes

We provide quality materials that can be found in laundry detergents (pods, tablets, liquids, and powders), as well as laundry treatments. These solutions can boost foaming, keep colors bright, and help remove stains and odors.

deodorizers

Ensuring that clothes smell fresh is just as important as cleanliness itself. Dirty garments are a breeding ground for bacteria, mildew, or mold — all of which can contribute to bad odors that linger after the wash. Jarace™ SA, a vinegar-based deodorizer, is effective in keeping clothes fresh while encapsulants extend the scent, keeping clothes smelling nicer for longer. Jarace SA is listed on the CleanGredients database as a Safer Choice-approved odor eliminator.

surfactants

The performance of detergent is the reason why consumers continue to choose their preferred brands. The Jarfactant™ line of sugar-based Alkyl Polyglucosides (APGs) are manufactured from natural alcohol and are high-performing surfactants that deliver a wide range of stable foam and effective cleaning.

chelating agents

In using nature-based preservative-boosting solutions, an increased stability and shelf life of applications can be achieved. Biopure™ GLDA, a 1:1 replacement for EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), is a powerful chelating agent that stays stable over a wide pH range and when added to the formulation can help stabilize the product and prevent discoloration. Biopure GLDA increases the efficacy of preservatives by weakening bacteria cell membranes.

dye transfer inhibitors

Textile fading can occur by the deposition of fugitive dyes during the wash cycle. Reilline™ Polymers added to detergent formulations aid in the prevention of fabric discoloration. Reilline Polymers are highly effective in preventing the transfer of dyes from solution to receptor swatches under a variety of experimental conditions. Compared to alternative DTIs, they have shown superior effectiveness across a broad array of dyes and surfactants, as well as a wide pH range. Typical use levels are 0.05-0.1%.

By default, water contains many minerals including the metal ions of calcium, iron, and magnesium. Anyone who has used hard water understands the challenge these metal ions create. These metal ions interfere with the effectiveness of soaps and detergents, visually resulting in soap scum. Chelating agents bind to and remove metal ions from solutions. Restraining and removing these metal ions allows for preservatives to preserve longer and surfactants to clean more efficiently. Chelating Agent, Biopure™ GLDA, is a biodegradable and eco-friendly EDTA replacement, making it a great choice for those looking for more sustainable cleaning options. This versatile chelating agent can be used in a wide variety of household, institutional, and industrial cleaning and personal care products.

personal & home care multi-surface cleaner

Multi-surface cleaners are useful disinfectants that work on a wide range of surfaces. Adding a vinegar booster to your surface cleaners adds versatility as it can cut through dirt and films on most surfaces, due to its acidic composition. Jarace™ SA-VB+ is a Sodium Acetate based, ammonia-free option that can be used in the kitchen, bathroom, and on car surfaces. It is also approved for use around children and animals. While vinegar tends to have a strong aroma, Jarace SA-VB+ is mild in odor and easy to incorporate into any formula.
