corrosion inhibitors

Corrosion inhibitors reduce, delay, or prevent the corrosion of metal. During the storage and transport of fuels, our corrosion inhibitor technology protects against moisture in the naturally occurring environment. When using Texalene Corrosion Inhibitors water molecules in the fuel are displaced from metal surfaces in favor of our film-forming compounds. Corrosion can start as soon as unprotected metals and alloys encounter oxidizing species such as air, moisture, or dirt. Decreasing the corrosion rate of these metals and alloys helps to reduce the number of failures in critical equipment. Process equipment, storage tanks, and fuel pipelines are better protected when low levels of corrosion inhibitors are added to the fuels which they contain.

stop corrosion before it starts

Corrosion inhibitors help to decrease maintenance costs and lengthen the useful life of the equipment.  Texalene™ 7275 Corrosion Inhibitor can be added to hydrocarbons at various stages in the production process and provides multi-metal protection.

Potentially corrosive contaminants are more prevalent in bio-based and oxygenated fuels. With the demand for these types of fuels rising, so does the need for Texalene Corrosion Inhibitors throughout the fuel supply chain.

mobility corrosion inhibitors for lubricants

Corrosion inhibitors help to decrease maintenance costs and lengthen the life of the equipment. In closed-loop automotive systems, like engines, gearboxes, and transmissions, corrosion inhibitor technology protects against moisture intrusion. When using Texalene™ Corrosion Inhibitors, water molecules and other corrosive species in the lubricant are displaced from metal surfaces in favor of our film-forming compounds.

mobility acid scavenger for lithium-ion batteries

The use of lithium-ion batteries is increasing in electric vehicles (EVs) as the world looks for environmentally friendly transportation options. In EVs this rechargeable power source replaces all petro-chemical based fuels. Lithium-ion batteries use strong acids such as hydrofluoric acid inside the battery. There is a need for scavenging this acid to prevent electrode damage and improve capacity retention. Reillex™ Resins help neutralize the effect of excess acid and prolong battery life.

increase sustainable content in your lubricant

Bio-based lubricant intermediates allow formulators to use a sustainable backbone to create high-performance viscosity modifiers that are derived from the castor bean. Accentuating the naturally occurring properties of castor oil derivatives, Texalene viscosity modifiers for oils strike a balance between high affinity for the surface under shear and performance stability over a range of temperatures and conditions. Texalene viscosity modifiers for greases act as thickeners in lithium-based formulations.
